Cancellation Policy

My cancellation policy is pretty simple. If you need to cancel an appointment please allow 48 hours notice. Any appointment cancelled in less than the required time will be subject to a cancellation fee of $75. This will be charged to the credit card on file or added to your next scheduled visit.

I understand that things come up and life happens. You will not be charged in the case of an emergency or sudden onset illness. However, I truly appreciate as much notice as possible so that I can fill the gap in my schedule.

Missed appointments without notice will be charged the $75 fee the first time and full treatment fee for subsequent occurrences.

Privacy

Your privacy is extremely important to me. All virtual tele-health appointments are performed over a secure and encrypted video platform which complies with HIPAA and PIPEDA.

Office appointments are thoughtfully spaced to allow time between clients in an effort to maintain your privacy. In-home appointments allow you to be in a private secure treatment area that is convenient and comfortable for you.

I use an electronic booking and charting system that complies with PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) and I comply with PHIA, Nova Scotia’s law regarding health records.

Sharing of Personal Health Information

Your personal health information will never be shared with a third party without your consent. I often work closely with RMTs, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Family Physicians/Specialist, Naturopaths, Personal Trainers and Acupuncturists to ensure consistent healthcare. At times this may require a letter to a doctor or phone call to another healthcare professional you may be seeing. I will always obtain written consent before I collect, use or disclose personal health information as required by the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA).
